My Style: Acid & Collars

It was a gloomy day here in Houston, but I always pick my mood up with the colors I incorporate in my outfit of choice for the day. I’m not the girly-girly I wish I could be but I always have an edge or at least try to.

Maybe I could start a new trend called Prim and Rock just to try to fit myself into some trend catergory, but I know that won’t be possible. I’ve been dieing for a pair of jeans like these that would add as a staple for any season for me. They fit like a glove, in a trend of their own, and STRETCHY.

I’ve also being waiting to wear this collar for months now because that’s how long I have had it in my closet for that long. Which to me adds as much Girly accents that I can take in one outfit without making my itch.

This outfit made me feel like a Hot Tottie (Usher Song) from top to bottom and that’s always a good feeling to have.

My Style: Fuschia Blues

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

Halfway through the week and thought about this My Style post is perfect for a casual evening out without overdoing it. I’m working on incorporating more color in my wardrobe, so I decided to try wearing color on top of color.

I paired a neutral tank with a pop of blue in my trousers, now usually I would wear a black colored shoe, but I took a little fashion risk by pairing these fuschia wedges with the outfit. If you are like me with a little fear of color sometimes, wear a safe neutral or two in your outfit to stay within your fashion comfort zone.

Have you tried a pop of color lately? If so, what feeling did it give you to incorporate that color into your wardrobe?

My Style: Neutrally Denim

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

I’ve seriously been on the move this past week and I’m happy about a lot of great things to come. I’m challenging myself to not wear black as my only neutral color, even though it is an easy color to wear. So I decided to try the color taupe or khaki as my summer neutral color insist of dark neutrals, this is an outfit I wore at the bevello Boutique event. (Check here for post)

I’m so in LOVE with wedges, so when my BF bought me a pair of color-block wedges in neutral tones I was excited but I knew it would be a challenge to create an outfit that complimented the shoes. Pairing a pair of casual jeans, a simple t-shirt and a blazer with any type of wedges is a simple way to have an effortless look for any occasion. My motto is Stylish and Comfort can go hand and hand, and this outfit spoke that motto without words.

My Style: Animal in Black

Even though the weather in Houston has been a little on the Bipolar side, I have challenged myself to always put my best outfit forward even for a day of leisure.

In these summer heat waves, I tend to wear more loose and light fabrics to allow for my skin to breath. So for this Style Post, I decided to paired a animal print tunic with a relaxed pair of pants. I truly hate to wear animal prints but I decided to take a risk in my usual style!

Its Tuesday everyone and I’m so excited about this week’s post and you should too!

This edition of My Style post is all about Pastels and Neon, which I wore to the 2nd H&M Opening at Willowbrook Mall in Houston. Let’s just say that I had the greatest time despite event issues but at least I looked chic in my H&M outfit. Now if you don’t know anything about an H&M opening, check out my post on the Baybrook Mall opening here.

My Style Post: Pastel Aztecs

Ever wondered what tribal symbols looked painted in pastels? My Style Post.

I’ve learned that the quickest way to be fashionable sometimes is to keep things simple, and for me that would have to be with print dress. Wearing a print dress take all the hard work of putting an entire outfit together, so I decided to wear this summer dress that I usually wear as a shirt.

My Style Post: Pastel Aztecs

(Couldn’t find a similar dress, so this is an alternative)

Since the print is so busy, I paired it with a skinny belt to make a waist and a neutral wedge to keep the focus on the print in the dress.
